Protection of minors and 18+ verification

How SocialFans reduces unauthorized access, evaluates adulthood signals and acts when there is a concern involving minors.
Updated August 29, 2026Content and internal areas are intended exclusively for adults.
01

Institutional commitment to an 18+ platform

The protection of minors guides access rules, moderation, verification and responses to reports.

SocialFans is not intended for anyone under 18. Accounts, content and interactions incompatible with this requirement may be preventively restricted and referred for review.

This commitment does not depend solely on a statement during registration: risk signals may be assessed at different stages of the journey.

Zero tolerance for exploitation of minors

Content, requests, grooming, negotiation or attempted sexualization involving minors is prohibited and may lead to preservation of evidence and notification to the competent authorities.
02

Preventing unauthorized access

Protection combines entry barriers, product rules and signals observed during use.
  • Declaration of adulthood and acceptance of the applicable rules.
  • Additional verification according to role, feature, risk or operational requirement.
  • Access restrictions while required data is absent or inconclusive.
  • Moderation of content, reports and behavior incompatible with an adult platform.
  • Restriction and investigation of attempted document fraud or use of another person’s identity.
03

How verification works

The flow may vary by context and should collect only the signals needed for the corresponding decision.

Step 1

Minimum data

The platform requests information appropriate to the purpose of confirming age and identity.

Step 2

Signal analysis

Rules, documents and supporting tools may indicate approval, rejection or the need for review.

Step 3

Safe decision

Without sufficient confidence, access remains restricted until an appropriate conclusion is reached.

04

Inconclusive cases and additional review

Insufficient evidence must not be treated as automatic approval.
  • The user may be asked to resubmit readable data or correct information.
  • The account or requested role may remain pending during review.
  • Contradictory signals may lead to a preventive restriction and additional review.
  • When applicable, the data subject may request clarification or challenge the result through official channels.
05

Privacy and limited purpose

Verification data requires enhanced protection and use compatible with fraud prevention, adulthood verification and compliance.
  • Minimization of data requested at each stage.
  • Access restricted to the people and systems needed for the process.
  • Limited sharing with verification processors when applicable.
  • Retention compatible with security, auditing, legal obligations and defense of rights.
  • Exercise of data subject rights under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
06

Priority reports and support

Suspected underage access or exploitation must be reported promptly without redistributing the material.

Use the reporting features available on the content or profile. If that is not possible, register the case through the contact page.

Provide the link, profile or context needed to locate the case. Do not download, forward or reproduce suspicious content to “prove” the report.

To understand how the data involved is processed, read the Privacy Policy.
